Fuel Dilution Test Upgrade
TestOil is committed to continually improving the methodologies and technologies used in our laboratory. With that said, we are now using a Gas Chromatography (GC) method to measure fuel in engine oil. The method is based on a proposed ASTM method (work item 24171) and is widely used in the industry.
In this method, the lubricating oil is injected directly into a gas chromatograph. This will allow TestOil to produce data with better repeatability and less interference.
