Coolant Testing for Mobile Equipment: Eurofins TestOil Offers Advanced Tests For Mining, Construction Fleets

We are increasing our range of coolant tests with advanced coolant testing for mining, construction and a range of industries that rely on heavy duty mobile equipment. Advanced tests include High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ion Chromatography (IC) and SCA Number.

                Benefits include extending drain intervals, avoiding failures, improving fluid condition, reducing component failure/downtime and improving lifecycle management.

                We offer two test packages that are conducted in our world-class lab. The Coolant Standard (CLSTD) test slate includes:

    • Glycol Concentration (%)

    • Specific Conductance (Conductivity) (uS/cm)

    • Freeze Point (degrees C)

    • Total Dissolved Solids

    • Boil Point (degrees C)

    • Elemental Analysis by ICP (ASTM D6130)

    • pH (ASTM D1287)

    • Total Hardness as CaCO3

    • Visual Analysis

    • Nitrites (mg/L)

                The Coolant Advanced Comprehensive (CLCOMP) test slate includes all CLSTD tests plus:

    • IC (Ion Chromatography) (ASTM D5827 Mod)

    • HPLC (High Pressure Liquid Chromatography)

    • SCA Number (Calculated from nitrite-IC and molybdenum-ICP)

                The final comprehensive report delivers a clear picture of the coolant in seven sections: Fluid Condition, Observations (Visual Analysis), Contamination, Degradation, Inorganic Additives, Organic Acid Technology and Wear.
