Insight Services Earns ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Accreditation

CLEVELAND – Insight Services Inc., an independent industrial oil analysis laboratory, is now accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005. Accreditation demonstrates Insight Services’ technical competence for the methods in its scope, and for the operation and effectiveness of its standardized best practice in oil testing techniques.

“Customers depend on reliable oil analysis testing data to ensure machine performance and reduce risks of failure,” said Monika Malcolm, quality manager, Insight Services. “During the accreditation process we submitted our laboratory’s quality control processes and our primary test methods to thorough review, and we’re pleased to have independent validation that we deliver consistently high quality data to our customers.”

Insight Service’s comprehensive range of oil analysis testing services assists reliability engineers with condition monitoring and identification of machine wear. Their full service oil testing laboratory employs a sophisticated diagnostic technology that assists their Machine Condition Analysts in making equipment and lubrication condition assessments.

ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard by which a laboratory’s commitment to quality is evaluated. ISO/IEC 17025:2005 not only considers management and technical expertise, but emphasizes continual improvement of customer service and of their overall quality control processes.

“To ensure our continual success in the field of oil analysis, Insight Services provides its customers with the highest-quality results in the shortest period of time possible. This service is complimented with a relentless customer service driven culture,” said Dan Richards, President and CEO, Insight Services. “This accreditation is a testament to our integrity and utmost accuracy of our testing results.”

Laboratory Accreditation Bureau (L-A-B) awarded accreditation to Insight Services in October 2009. Insight Services’ accredited test methods include: Acid Number, Base Number, Demulsibility, Flash Point, Foam, ICP Spectroscopy, Membrane Patch Colorimetry, Particle Count Testing, pH, Reserve Alkalinity, Varnishing Potential, Viscosity Testing, Karl Fischer Water Test, Ferrous Wear Concentration and Rust.
